Happy Hours in Houston

I asked a few friends for happy hour recommendations and being the…enthusiasts they are I received quite a few suggestions! Click the venue name for details or just read the little blurb included for each. I’ll be featuring more in the future so if you have suggestions please put them in the comments!

1. Ogun Art + Wine

The Heights neighborhood at 920 Studemont
Daily from 4 – 7pm
Ayo: Jollof and Wine…. Can’t really go wrong with those two.

2. North Italia

Galleria neighborhood at 1700 Post Oak Blvd
Sunday – Friday from 3 – 6pm
Cindy: You can get a pizza and a bottle of wine for $20.

3. Oporto Fooding House

Midtown neighborhood at 125 West Gray
Monday – Friday from 3 – 7pm
Renia: $5 wines and sangrias. Delicious vegetarian-friendly bites. I suggest a caipirinha and the pappas bravas.

4. Hong Kong’s Café

Chinatown neighborhood at 9108 Bellaire Blvd
Daily from 3 – 6pm
For the teetotalers! No alcohol but everyone loves the Chinese milk tea.

5. Punk’s Simple Southern Food

Rice Village neighborhood at 5212 Morningside Drive
Tuesday – Friday from 4-7pm and Friday – Saturday from 9 – 11pm
Chicken biscuits for $3 and frito pies for $5 along with wine, margarita, and cocktail specials.
